I have an '04 xe and I feel the rear end just sits too low and sags too easily under weight. How difficult is it to just add leaf springs? How hard are they to find in junk yards and such?

..

You can add one leaf to each spring pack or over load coils the the rear shocks. Ether way it will reduce the sag under load but the none load ride will be stiff. Adding one inch blocks will help a little. I did it to my '99 with good results. Carrying the heavest part of the load as far forwared as possible helps.

BTW.. Use new U-Bolts when / if  changing the springs. Nissan has a different shape than some so check it out before you spend some money!

Good Luck.. Don S..

I had wondered if I would need to get new U-bolts too. What are the 1" blocks you mention? Where can I look for these? Thank you for the advice!!

Matt

..

In the old days we called them 'lowering blocks". I bought mine 13 years ago at Pep Boys. Most Speed Shops should carry them...

You will need longer ones when installing the bloclks. Check the shape of the new bolts first!!! In the kit I bought they were the wrong shape! U-Bolts are very pricy..

Good luck.. Don S..
