I'm looking to put a flowmaster on an 02 supercharged frontier...any ideas?

I think the in & outlets are 2.4 is that correct? Should I go with a single in & single out or what?? Any help would be great!

If I remember correctly the pipe size is 2.25.  I just simply replaced my stock muffler with a single in/single out.   The sky's the limit really.

I believe Brianpestow is correct, have you made any other modifications to the exhaust system? 4x4 parts offers a killer set of stainless headers that bolt right on. I have had awesome results with the combination of a Volant cold air intake, headers and a 50 series Flowmaster. The sound of the exhaust alone is worth the investment! I am getting better mileage at 90mph now than I got when the truck was new. I am averaging 23-24mpg on the highway, and I drive it like I just stole it. The truck has 118K on it and you would never know it. My truck is not supercharged,  so your truck would gain even more horsepower! The best thing about the headers is the fact that you get to rid yourself of two cats. (Actually the two pre-cats @ the manifold) without affecting your ability to pass any emissions tests. I'm in Texas and mine passed with flying colors. I'm not a spokesman for 4x4 parts, or anybody else for that matter, I have gone through the whole ordeal recentely. You will notice a slight improvement with just the muffler, but nowhere near the improvement you will get with the intake/headers/muffler combination. I started out with a K&N intake and just could not get it to work right. The check engine light kept coming on and it was way too loud for me. The Volant has it's own air box and is a lot quieter. As soon as installed it the check engine light went out and has yet to come back on. Good luck with your truck!

Hey thanks for the reply. I put a Flow master 44 serious on it & in about 3 weeks or so you can here a big difference in the sound. I never thought about putting headers on the truck simply because I really dont care too much about horse power but if it would help with the gas mileage it mioght be worth the investment.

What did you have to change besdies the headers? I assum the rest of the exhaust going tback to the muffler would have to be changed right? How much did the whole thing cost you?

Here's where it gets better! You don't have to change a thing. The headers are designed to bolt on to your existing exhaust system. Don't get me wrong, getting the old manifolds off is something you want to have your local muffler shop do. Without a lift, I can't imagine how hard it would be. However, when the headers were in place, I called 4x4 Parts and asked them what size pipe was optimum for the headers, they told me not to change a thing, the headers were designed to work best with the factory  piping! By the way, these headers are probably the best built set that I have ever seen. The welding is perfect, and everything is extra heavy guage. I believe that with the headers, mounting hardware, gaskets, and studs I spent about $725.00. If you consider how much you are saving over a cat-back exhaust system, it's very reasonable. If you have someone else install the headers, make them give you a quote BEFORE they start. I watched two guys spend eight hours taking off the old manifolds and installing the headers. I paid them $350.00 to do the work, and I guarantee you I wouldn't have done it for twice that.  If you think you like the way it sounds now, just wait. It gets a lot better! It sounds more like an old Porsche 928 than an import truck. Great tone, and the throttle response is better from stop to OMG! Don't get me wrong, you won't run away from a Corvette, but you will shock a lot of Ford and Chevy guys with V-8's. There several aftermarket chips that also help with mileage and performance, but just take it step by step and find your own place to stop. You probably saw the monstrosity of a muffler they took off when you had your Flowmaster installed. Same goes for the pre-cats. Nissan build every truck they made to pass California emmisions. You aren't hurting a thing removing the first two cats. Just make sure you buy the "CEL eliminators" when you order the headers. Otherwise you will always have the check engine light on. I don't know about New York, but in Texas you can't pass emmisions testing if the light is on. The O2 sensors on your truck only read a differential in the exhaust gasses from the manifold to the catalytic converters, and believe me, all four sensors have to be hooked up for everything to work. Let me know if some pictures would help, I'm sure I have some around here close.
