My wife got me a Afe CAI for valentines day. took all of 20 minutes to install it....then off to the muffler shop for a freer flowing exaust. we used 2.5 inch tubing and a HUGE 3 inch magnaflow muffler(larger muffler was much quieter) it was a bit more work making the 3 inch muffler fit a 2.5 inch system, but it is not too loud and it works great. the guy at the mufflershop is a phenominal bender/fabber and he made me a proper y pipe in about 20 minutes.i would expect the same gains from any quality CAI and exaust system

the gain from these mods is great. i get much better throttle response and the kick in power above 4500 rpm is fabulous.

here is a  rear wheel HP dyno chart for a 05/06 fronty with an Afe CAI and a freer flowing exaust system. along with the comments of the trucks owner as for his maximum  hp gains at the crankshaft.

quote from owners website

"Given estimated driveline losses of about 20% for an automatic transmission, that yields 294 horsepower and 295 ft/lbs torque at the crankshaft--not too shabby for a "small" truck on 87-octane gas!"
