There's only one real way to get the RPMs to idle lower, and that is to have the ECU reprogrammed. Cams will just make it sound like it's lower, but it just has a longer lope to it.
Now if you had an older Frontier and seems to idle above 1000 RPM, you might want to look at replacing some sensors, or cleaning them. Usually cleaning the MAF sensor, and replacing old worn out 02 sensors will get you running better, and a tune up will keep it running smoother allowing you to sit at a lower idle. But being an 08, those really aren't options.
