Anyone have one of these covers? I don't want a hard cover, because it's a PITA if you need to move big things on the spur of the moment. the rollups look like a good compromise between security and ease of use. Anyone use one, and can comment on it? I just got my 08 frontier a few weeks ago, and want to dress it up a bit.

hmm, guess they're not that popular. Maybe I'll go with a softcover instead.

Have you thought about the new BakFlip G2? (just hit the link on this thread) It's a hard top that folds up in three pieces and you can drive with the top up. Also, it's easy to remove if you have to. (so they say...) I like the hard tops because of the security factor. (can't lock a soft top) I just bought one the other day so I can't give you real world experiences with it yet, but I'll keep you posted on the install and the results.

Yeah, thanks op. I think I may be moving to the Bakflip. I don't know if I like the way that the thing folds up to block the rear window, but it seems to have better reviews and a longer life. I've heard the retractables start getting loose after a few years and bouncing around. I was going to order it this week, after I send in my first truck payment.

I have the Pace-Edwards BedLocker cover.  I understand this is the same as the Jackrabbit with an electric motor and remote.  It is straight forward to install; two side rails holds the canister and one elecrical connection.

You will give up ablut 10 inches at the front of the bed, but you will gain flexability as you can open the cover and stop it anywhere between full open and closed.  It keeps the water out and it is very secure as it is made with aluminum slates.

One negative on the 05+ is that the side rail are very wide and you give up about 4 inches of width at the bed rail level.

Check out my Cardomain site.  it's the WWW button below.  There's an entire page devoted to fixing Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit, along with a few tips on maintaining it.  They can be a handful if you don't take regular care of it.

I just got the BAK Industires RolBak cover.  I haven't installed it yet, but the quality looks good and the installation appears to be straight forward.   I believe it is similar to the Pace-Edwards retractable covers.
