i have the rear locking diff with my nismo package, is there away to bypass it so that i can use the diff in 2 wheel drive rather then just 4 low?

My best friend is getting an '07 Nissan Frontier Nismo Off-Road Edition, and he was wondering if it is the same as the '05 Frontier with the E-Diff system.
