I have a 04 king cab xe. Does anyone know how much lift I can get out of my stock torsion bars without it hurting anything else on my truck?

Also, Whats the easiest way to lift the back end, shackles, blocks, or adding a leaf?

I just want to clarify, I only want to lift my truck if it is not going to hurt anything else on my suspension, and I don't have much of a budget so getting a kit is most likely out of the question...unless I can get like 2" for $100.

thanks

Any time you modify the front suspention (crank t-bars) it will cause more wear and tear on other componets IE center link/ tie rod ends with that said can you do a lift for 100.00 sure here is a little info

Shackles for the rear can be had here www.purenissan.com

as for the front here is a write up on how to do the front

Even a lift of 1.5"  by cranking the t-bars would kill my front suspension parts? That would be just enough to match the 1.5" the shackles would give me in the rear.

Would 1.5" even be noticeable?

If 1.5"lift would hurt my suspension in the front, I'll wait till I can buy the 3" lift kit for just under a grand.

what would you do??

I would not spend the 1K on a suspention lift I have had one for 6 years NOT worth the money (if the wife knew how much money I have spent on my truck over the years she would kill me ) if I could start over all I would do is a 3" body lift and then beef up the steering system that will allow you to run at least a 31" tire maybe a 32" if all your going for is the "look" this is all you need to do.

Here is a couple of links to some vendors I have used the have pretty much anything you would want/need

www.4x4parts.com

www.spenserlowracing.com

www.purenissan.com

Yes you will notice a differance also the ride will be a little stiffer the T-bar crank will cause some wear and tear on steering componets it increases the angles of the tie rods which will put more stress on the center link.
