hey new to the forum but just thought i would let u all know about what happned to my 05 nismo.  On friday i was driving home from work, and i pulled on my street and i hear a loud bang noise and a tire locks up. and it does it everytime there is a difference in wheel speed between to two rear wheels. go it towed in on sat. parts wont be in till next wed. they are replacing the entire diff not rebuilding it. has anyone had this problem.

The D-44’s are not the same quality as the D-44 in my old ‘76 Wagoneer. I have a ‘99 Grand Cherokee and the D-44 in it is a piece of crap so I’m saying “They don’t build them like they used to”.

Maybe some others have better info and will post-up on the thread.

My Jeep Rubicon had Dana 44s front and rear...

 Seemed to be very strong, especially spinning those HEAVY MT/Rs from Goodyear.
