2015 desert runner. Current:117k miles. Reg maint and oil
changes. Getting a strange noise from under the engine
when driving. Occurs only when traveling at exactly
1900RPMs. Cannot. Replicate in neutral or park. Operates
normally otherwise. Any explanation/fix?

Lockdown,
Can You describe what the Noise Sound's Like or Maybe
Record the Noise if possible?
Have You looked underneath and Checked the Fluid
Reservoir's and also for the Front Wheel Drive & Rear
Diff?

Sounds like a metallic rattling. I have checked all the
exhaust heat shields and none are loose. I have also
checked all fluid levels, including transmission. Also,
the noise occurs at 1900 RPMs, but only when applying
acceleration...noise does not occur when passing through
1900 while decelerating.

Might be a universal Joint going out. Maybe part of the
Exhaust System came loose. Could be a lot of Thing's.
If it were Mine I would take it to a Trusted Mechanic
with Frontier Gen 2 Experience.
I would take mine to The Best Nissan Service Dept, and
Talk with A Master Tech or The Service Manager, or Both,
Tell Them You want to Ride with them, or Them Ride with
You, so You can Show them..
PS ~ You might also want to look @ the Fan Shroud for
possible Fan Blade Strike's (Possible Motor Mount), and
maybe also the Extra Little AT Cooling Fan, as well as
around the Wheel's for any Thing that might not be secure
that the Air might cause to hit something. All just
guesses though.
