Hi,

New member here, I'm trying to replace the downstream sensor on my 2012 Frontier, V6.  For the life of me I can't figure out how the clip works to disconnect the electrical connection.  I have squeezed the clip on the sensor wire, I've looked to see if there is any sort of clip on the connection to the truck and I can't seem to figure it out.  Plus there is not a heck of a lot of room to work.

I've seen a few YouTube videos on how to change out the O2 Sensor, but they never cover the actual clip, one guy said he broke it but will worry about it later.  Saw another guy who claims his video is about the O2 sensor, but it shows the one in front of the catalayic convertor - not the same thing at all.

Has anybody changed out the DRIVER's side O2 sensor on the back side of the cat and has figured out how to disconnect the wire?

Hi Barney,

The Frontier service manual I have doesn't show any tools or connector/clip close ups or even has a discussion of the tools required for the connectors.  It's a PDF I downloaded a few years ago and appears to be the "official" Nissan SM.

Do you have access to other Frontier Service Manuals?
