Hi Guys,
I messed up...during the timing chain replacement job I didn't do a couple of things that I should have and now I have a mess on my hands.
Not all of my paint marks survived and one of the cams rotated on me. To top it all off, I think that I was 180 degrees off from TDC. It's still all in pieces and I'm considering giving in to a local mechanic, but that's never been my nature.
Does anyone know how to align the cams, the gears, crank etc...from scratch? I was planning on installing new chains, already did the tensioners and even have new secondary gears. All of this on a 66k mile pristine truck...kinda makes me sick.

FC,
If you cannot figure it out by following the Nissan
Service Manual, IMO it's time to take it to The Best
Nissan Engine Mechanic that You can Find.
If it were mine, I would have it loaded on a Flatbed
Wrecker and haul it to a Nissan Service Department.
But before hand,, I would talk with the Nissan Master
Tech to see if he is willing to take this on. It's
not going to be cheap,, but on the otherhand,, it's
going to cost a lot more,, if it isn't done Correctly.
By now you know how important it is to read, follow
the procedure in the Service manual,, and Reread and
understand it all before starting this Maintenance.
These are INTERFERANCE Engine's in that if the Timeing
is not correct,, the Valve's can contact the Top of
the Piston's. If that happen's then there is a lot
more cost and Part's to Replace.
At some point when digging a hole, it's time to stop
digging and get yourself out of the hole before you
can't get out at all,, even with other's trying to
help.
Bite the bullet, Get Some Help and be prepared for the
Bill,

The chains should have "bright" links to establish
proper location in relation to sprockets.
