2006 Frontier King Cab 6 cyl with tow package
transmission radiator... Only overheats when doing
highway speeds and cools down when in city traffic, even
sitting at lights. Temperature gauge rises well above
halfway point but never into the danger zone.

Nissan diagnosed it as being a transmission problem.
Thermostat was replaced along with rebuilding much of the
transmission. It still is overheating. Any issues with
the radiator and cooling system reported for this year?
I'm not sure what else to replace.

..

Welcome.. We don't have much of group left.

First get rid of tranny cooler in front of the radiator.
Mount one up under the bed in a cool spot.
Leave the one alone in the radiator for cold days.

Next add more area... a larger air dam under the bumper. It will add flow to the radiator and help suck hot air from under the hood.

Been there, Done that!.. Don S..
