Hi, I have a 2001 SE crew cab. Unfortunately, my service engine light came on. Autozone code reader said something about throttle control relay open circuit. I called Nissan and they said that it is a bad engine coolant temperature sensor. Also, if this is the case, should I replace the sending unit and the thermostat as well?

The P1126 Code is detected when the engine coolant
temperature does not reach to specified temperature even
though the engine has run long enough. Replace the
thermostat. My memory is a little fuzzy, but it seems like
there was a reprogram for that DTC back in the day, might
want to check with your dealer.
