so i have an 02 frontier crew with the vg33e that i need to replace.  Does anyone know if i can use just the long block from a pathfinder? I can swap all my accesories. (only because the prices are SOOO much cheaper on the pathfinder engines)

I don't believe there's much of a difference between the 2.
Maybe a little ECU programming...

But block wise, there's no difference.

The programming would be unnecesary as i only want the long block.  I have heard read one time (which i can no longer find where) that the oil filter boss will need to be changed which i have problem with.  As long as the long block is interchangable.

Any salvage yard can give you a cross reference fittment
guide for the engines. I can't picture any differences in
them, but then again, I just woke up from being bored
watching the Daytona 500.
