Hey guys I have replaced the center bearing on my 2001 4x4
frontier two times. The first time I did it, I took the
driveshaft to a place and had them put the bearing on and
then I put it back on myself. When I looked under there a
few weeks later, The rubber bearing was broken again. This
time I took the entire truck in to get the bearing put on
by a qualified tec. Well guess what? Yesterday I was
changing my oil when I look up to see that thing broken
again. I do have a BODY lift on the truck but this should
not affect anything. What should I do? Does anyone know
what could be causing this?

If your talking about the carrier bearing on a rear two piece driveshaft I have had the same problem. I have an 07 4wd long bed and the rubber disinigrated at 39K. I only have 41K on the truck now. So I don't know why this would happen except for an inferior part. Dealer did not say anything about it being a problem with other trucks.

Do you drive a lot of rough or gravel roads? The only
thing i can think of is a lot of vibration causing this.
I tried poking around the internet to see if I could find a
company that started using polyurethane... but no luck.
