I just started to notice a moderately loud hum going 30-45mph. The HUM is not noticable at any other speed. Is there a way to tell if it is the transmission or the wheel bearing?

Thanks,

Could be tires. Auto or man trans? Possible final drive,
does the noise lessen when you let off the throttle?

It is an auto transmission. It does lessen the noise slightly when I lay off the throttle. I had new tires put on it 9 months ago.

Thanks for your insight.

If the sound lessens when you let off the throttle, it is
possibly a concern in the final drive unit(rear
differential).
