Thought I would post, my 08 frontier battery was weak. It would crank slowly, and then start. For the first 3 seconds after it started, all of the gauge needles (gas, tach, speedo,temp, volt, oil) would flutter and they all read below the lowest possible setting (the low oil pressure idiot light did not come on). ( I have 4X4 and the indicate that has a picture of all of the wheels was blank too.)
Also the trip meter automatically reset to zero.

It was in fact the battery as confirmed via a load test.

Surprised I only get 24 months out of the OEM battery.

Check your warranty manual, I believe they are pro rated up to 36 months???????

My Optima battery just died. It still works OK if I drive the truck every couple of days or so. But after a week I gotta put the charger on it! That dang thing was only 8 years old. Been carrying a new Optima in the bed the last two months Ill have to install when/if the weather every gets cold again.

The factory Battery lasted 34 months.
