I am told that this engine is probably the "best" motor as defined by durability and reliability ever made by Nissan and better than the current motor used in the new Frontiers. Any truth to this? Any real performance testing that would support this statement?

KA24E had many issues with oil passage concerns in the early days along with timing chain guide concerns when the miles added up. KA24DE has been pretty reliable

We're talking about the KA24E not the VQ30DE.

I know you are not talking about the vq. I was stating that the vq was/is a very great motor. I was asking about the oil passage in the timing of the ka motor.
