2002 Frontier XE-V6
My blinkers/hazards will work when the truck is first started. 10-15 minutes into the drive, the blinkers will stop blinking. The blinker light on the dash comes on, but it doesn't blink. If I manually flip the control lever up and down, the blinkers will blink. Stopping and restarting the engine will get them working again.
Should I replace the flasher relay or is there something else to try first?
Thanks, Jason

It sounds like the flasher. Make sure to work the 4 way flasher switch on and off several times to be sure it is completely off. Have seen them in-between causing some strange results.

I took the flasher out and cleaned the contacts with some emery cloth. So far, the problem hasn't come back.
I had a similar problem with the sending unit for the engine temp gauge work intermittently. Disconnected it, cleaned teh contacts and it's been fine ever since.

That's cool, I never considered taking one apart. Most of them self destruct if you try to disassemble.
