I have a 1998 Frontier.  The alternator was dieing (so i thought).  Replaced it.  When the headlights and blower motor are not running the truck charges fine.  When either are on the voltmeter we have on the battery shows a quick drop in volts then slowly loses power.  .01 V at a time after the quick loss of volts.  Replaced battery terminal connections.  alternator connections are snug and not corroded.  Battery was tested and passed with flying colors.  any suggestions.

Was the alternator ever tested? I have bought a new alternator only to find it was defective and could not charge under a load. Since you mention connections are snug and not corroded and hopefully there is no breakage in the wiring, then all signs point to the alternator or voltage regulator, which is in the alternator.

Also may want to check the belt, have seen them dry and not squeal, but greatly effect the charging. Aftermarket alternator????? Remember, you get what you pay for!!!!< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
