I was replacing battery terminals in my frontier, and decided to do some cleaning under the hood.  I removed the intake box and tube cleaned the covers, cleaned some grease underneath them, and reinstalled.  Now the truck starts and dies within 15 seconds.  If you give it gas it will die quickly.  Not sure what is going on.  Please help.

Did you remove the air cleaner assy or just the tube leading to it?? Sounds like something got unplugged or dropped some dirt down the hole to the MAFS fine wires?????< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

thank you frontier guy.  i got inside the engine compartment, and looked down the hole to the mafs fine wires, a very old piece off air filter had fallen down inside on top of the wires.  thank you so much, started right up...now the reason i was messing with it to begin with.  alternator went bad.  changed alternator.  in chaning it the clip to the alternator broke repaired and electrical taped.  I was driving on a 450 mile trip.  everything was good for 300 miles and all the sudden it the headlights started dimming.   i pulled over.  when it idles without headlights on it charges, but if i am driving with headlights on it slowly dies.

When you say clip, do you mean the main connector from the battery? This has to be a very good connection or you will have concerns like you mention.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
