I have a 2001 frontier 4X4 crew, and I am getting rock chips on rear quarter panel from driving on gravel to my place. Is there some kind of after market protecting shield that I can purchase and if there is what is it called and where is it available? The OEM mud flaps are not long enough to protect entire quarter panel. Also the paint on very front edge of rear bumper has totaly chiped off and is showing rust.Thank You, Mike

..

I installed large Pep Boys mud flaps on my '99 4x4 it helped a lot. Check out 3M... They make a stick on flexible (slightly moldable while installing) lexan sheets .030 & .010 thick.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Does  any one of you really believe we can fix the countries problems when the biggest crooks are the ones making the laws

I repainted the rear quarters and applied a clear chip guard,I then purchased some larger mud flaps at a farm store and installed them over the existing ones. The new flaps screwed on using the existing screws and hangs 3 inches below the factory ones. I think problem is solved.

One little hint if you go to bigger or wider tires you might have the same issue. It sound like you have under control.
