Just a quick note.  Went to Richmond VA and back from southeast PA yesterday.  Drove 465 miles on about 18.8 miles of gas which averaged out to 24.5 mpg. I have a v-6 2007 frontier Crew cab 4WD.  Ran the General Long Trails at 38 psi.  Kept the speed to between 60-65 mph.  Also spent time in a jam on I-95 and drove about ten miles in Richmond.  Ran on a mix of 93 and 89 octane Chevron. So all in all, VERY pleased.  This truck is a great hiway runner.  BTW, Chevron hi-test was $2.09 all over the area I was.

Between the tp increase and keeping your speed @60-65, those are two of the best mileage improvements you can make!!!!

Amen to that.  I also have Mobil 1 75W-90 in the rear diff and use Mobil 1 5W-30 engine oil.

While folks gripe about the Goodrich Long trail tires, I have found them quite satisfactory.  I have 14,500 on the truck and just barely visible wear on the tires.  They are quiet, run very well and have taken me through some tough trails in 4WD.  I know that there are better tires out there for traction but for the general usage I do, they work fine.

Boomer I`m happy to hear those long trails have lasted and have barley worn. It sucks having to buy tires a year and a half latter like I had to

I have broken in several Nissan engines and you will get better gas mileage starting around 10 to 15 thousand miles. Sounds crazy but I have seen it proven several times.
