I am experiencing excessive vibration when driving my 2006 Nissan Frontier 4x4 above 60 MPH on any road surface (in 2WD). The vibration does not appear to be coming from anyone place; the seats, console and steering column all vibrate. I just had new tires put on and a front end alignment perfomed. Any ideas?

Hawkins;
Welcome to the group!
Did this start when the new tires were put on?
Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..
Laws such as the use of corn ethanol are driving up the cost of living (have you been to the grocery store lately) without driving up wages. This equates to a lower standard of living thanks to Agro-lobbyists and corrupt and ill-informed lawmakers

welcome you should take the truck back and get them to rebalance the tires more than likely that is what it is

No, the vibrating first started weeks ago so I took the truck in to get an alignment. The front tires were in pretty bad shape and "chopped" around the inside so I switched them to the back until I could get new tires (the vibration continued but I assumed it was due to the damaged tires). After getting new tires this weekend the vibration has continued and actually seems worse now.

Have you checked the u-joints? Very common problem.

yeah i'd check the ball- joints first, take a pry bar to the upper and lower to
see if any play, if not check tie rod ends. (jack up front end, left to right tie
rod ends, up and down wheel bearings) but also check the rims to see if
there bent, maybe pothole or ran off-road or something if not take to
someone else see what they say bout the balance of the tire

An out of balance drive shaft can do this. Denting the shaft or throwing off o weight can make an horrendous vibration as you drive.
Also, look inside the rims. Is there mud/dirt/crud in there that might be a problem? You can balance the wheel/tire but then some more crud falls off, returning it to an out of balance state. Often happens in winter with ice and snow.
