I recently had the coolant changed and now the heater does not work when vehicle is in idle?  Worked fine before the flush.  Frontier 2006

..

Edisto;

Welcome to the group.

 Please be more specific.

... Like the blower works but get cold air, or just warm air?

Was the crud coming out when you flushed?

What does the heat gauge show?

New thermostat?

The core could be stopped up.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!

Sounds like air in the system. Most likely was not done w/ the proper equipment- coolant refill tool. This device pulls a vacuum on the coolant system(similar to A/C systems), then draws the coolant in. Part #J-44695. Also if the coolant concentration is too strong, poor heater performance will result as well. Many 06 Altimas came from the factory with straight antifreeze!!!!
