So last september I bought a new 07 Frontier XE 4cyl 5 spd, less than one year and 24,000 km later the rear end is done. Needs complete replacement, under warrenty.

Who knew highway miles would be so hard  on a truck.

Anyone had the same problem?

..

Radioactive Man;

Welcome to the group!

Here's a link from a few days ago. There are other threads on the subject.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!

Thanks for the link.Sounds like a bad batch of rear axels.This is my fourth truck and second Nissan. I had a 94 hardbody 500,000km and still running strong when I sold it so kind of hoped that the new Frontiers would be better still ,already had the rims changed out under warrenty.

I have a 2001 Nissan Frontier.  Over the past weekend I had a bearing fail in the driver side rear.  It caused the tire and axle to seperate from the truck while I was driving it.  It severed the brake lines as well.  Luckily I was only going about 25 miles an hour when this happened.  So if you have a Frontier, please make sure  you have your rear axle serviced.
