Folks I don’t want to get any ones unddies in a wad but IMHO WD-40 is one of the most over rated products on the market. I have had things get covered with rust after ‘protecting’ them with WD-40. Disaster happen spraying the insides of a quality control inspector’s tool box and tools… then locking it for a year… every thing was covered in rust when opened a year later.
... Rust attacked my black power guns cleaned and protected with WD-40 in just two weeks!. Unless they have changed the blend in the last few years all it really does is displace water in cracks. You might try AutoZone multi-purpose spray lubricant or if a lot of plastics are involved try CRC Heavy Duty Silicone multi-Use Lubricant.
BTW… another sorry product is 3-in-one oil… let me shut up before I get on a rant.
Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S.. The Internet is like the government in Wastington D.C.... where stupidity runs rampant!
