Someone has to know where I might find the resistor block. I know this is the part and I looked near the glovebox area but I am not even sure what it looks like so I am having a lot of trouble locating the part so I can get the lower 3 speeds working with my fan switch.

No body answered this yet?  Well it'll help if you tell us what year and model your truck is.

**EDIT:  I just looked back up and saw that you listed an 01, I think it's still in the same location as my 2000.

I have a 2000 Frontier crewcab.  My fan resistor was located directly behind the glove compartment.  You don't need to remove anything, just look straight up behind the glove compartment.  It's right there, screws are facing downwards.  Two screws and the thing slides stright down.  Take your new fan resistor and slide it into place and replace the two screws.  You should have it fixed in five minutes or less.

That help?

The one on my 2000 didn't look like a resistor block.  Just a circuit board with a plastic cover that slides into a socket.  Did you buy a new fan resistor yet?  Or were you going to inspect the old one first?

So i pulled the module out and cant find anything wrong with it, but did find that without it connected the fan still works and only on high. I have to assume that this is the only thing that can cause this issue so I will put a module on order.

*edit*  I found a bad trace soldered a jumper to the pad and voila the fan works. Thanks again iis4isaac!!! and for any other people who need to know where this is it is not behind the glovebox on an 01 CC it is near the firewall just about where the carpet ends near the floor.

Thanks again

Isn't that behind the glovebox?  =D

Glad you got it working and saved yourself $10 on a new resistor.
