Don't quote me... but from my experience if your computer reads a code, you reset it, and it doesn't come back on, it was probably a fluke. As I understand it, the knock sensor adjusts the engine timing as the vehicle undergoes different environments (towing, driving hard, mountains, etc). It may have fired off an error once but otherwise has operated normally. I've had mine do that before. Just reset the computer and see if it comes back.
If it comes back there's a way to test to see if you have a bad knock sensor. But I forget what it is. You have to measure the voltage between something like pin 62 and ground. I know... a little useless info. But you don't need to know that just yet. If the light comes back on, I'll find you the right method to test for a bad knock sensor.
