I have a 2006 King Cab with the 2 jump seats. The one on the passenger side does not want to stay up any more. I took it apart but there's no way to tighten it. Anyone else have this issue. It is not like the driver side jump seat in that it has a plastic "foot" underneath it for a child's seat which can't be taken off which makes it heavier an more prone to fall down. Any ideas?

I read about someone having that trouble somewhere else, they're solution was taking the plastic foot off of the seat, not a great solution, but the only one i have seen.

Take the seat out and throw it away.  Really.  It's only good for falling down unless you have a very small child who could use it for sitting.

Nissan has a TSB (technical service bulletin) on this problem with a fix that does not work very well. I had the revised parts installed on my '07 XE and it worked for about a month and then started falling down again. The child seat "foot" can be easily removed. If memory serves me, there are four bolts that hold it on and the carpet flap that covers the bracket can be removed by cutting the seam thread and yanking the seam out. All you're left with is the bolt holes showing under the seat and the problem is completely solved.
