Should I change the filter on the transmission when I change the fluid? The truck has 55000 miles on it. Thanks

Well, that's what I was thinking....However, the Nissan Factory manual section on maintenance just shows/advises to drain via the drain plug. I wasn't sure if it even had a filter or just a screen as do some Foreign Models. But I did find an aftermarket filter for it....just wasn't sure if anyone else had done theirs or if Nissan advises against it.

..

cpow;

The filter in my '99 was only a wire screen. It's easy to wash it out and replace it. The later models may be different.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!
