I've searched through a number of threads and believe my knock sensor needs to be replaced. It's throwing the P0328 code and the MPG has dropped significantly. I understand that the supercharger, serp belt, plenum and intake must be removed to get to this little gem. To the Nissan engineer…WTF?!?!

Here’s my couple of questions
1)
Is there an online service manual link for downloading or a recommended CD version available for this vehicle?
2)
With my Land Rover, there are specific parts sources that cater to those of us that do our own service & repairs… anyone recommend a good source or just search and go?
3) I found a knock sensor from Bosch (part #W0133-1604042)
for $85, which is a lot cheaper than most others, anyone use this one before… any concerns?
4)
While I’m tearing into this are there other repairs I should go ahead and do or specific parts to inspect? I’m thinking about replacing the serp belt…things like that.
5)
What gaskets must be replaced when doing this job… is there a kit available?

I appreciate your input… looks like y’all have a nice forum here! Thanks!

Hey what year is your truck?

What was your mpg before, and what are you getting now?

I have no advice to give you, but my 2002 VG33ER gets 14 mpg and I'd like to raise that if I could, so I'm interested in any progress you make

Thanks

Does anyone work on their own trucks or is this just another 'pretty 'em up' frontier forum?

re-ride: This isn't a thread on improving gas mileage... the reason why my mileage has dropped is directly related to the codes being thrown, so solutions here wouldn't improve your situation unless you too are throwing P0328 codes. As for year of truck... look at the signature line.
