hey guys i was just throwing it out there im havin some issues with a seal. I am in iraq right now and have my truck at my mothers house. she told me i had something leaking so, to make a long story short my father told me it was comming from my transfer case. I just had my truck out of the shop 3 weeks before i deployed. I noticed a leak in my driveway, climed under and saw a class 3 leak, as they call in in the military. for a leak that leaks enough to form a drop and drip. it was comming from the output seal where the front driveshaft connects to the transfer. anyways couple days later my clutch started slipping. i took my truck to the dealer and had my seal, clutch, and flywheel replaced. all the fluid leaked from my transfer, causing extra preasure on the clutch. so that causes the clutch to heat up and burn ur flywheel. they only wanted to replace the seal at the dealership for free. I said i am a mechanic for the army its damaged and i expect it to all be replaced. so its was, but watch out if you have 05 + stick shift it could happen to you too. its at the dealer getting replaced again so heads up!
