i know i know its awful to do... i've already apologized to my truck especially in this freezing weather! but to the problem...

so i went home for lunch and when i went to go back to work my truck wouldn't start... realizing i needed gas i borrowed my roomies jeep and hit up the gas station... got some gas and put it in the truck (about $5-7 worth of premium) and tried to start it... nothing... all the lights come on, radio, etc., however still won't start... tried turning the key to on and letting it sit... still nothing... is there a trick to this? we're in the midst of a freezing cold day, i don't know if that is making it worse or what... any ideas would be so greatly appreciated... i called the dealership and the woman said she wants to check for recalls and she thinks i'll need to get my truck towed over there the check up on it... i'd rather not...

You don't say if the engine turns over. If the starter is turning over the engine you might need to put more gas in it because the pump might not be able to get enough gas to stay primed. $7 worth of premium is what, not 2 gallons.  The low fuel light comes on at about 3g left.

If the engine is not turning over it could be the battery. Cold weather can hurt batteries and not make them work as good. Get a jump start from someone.

Also, try using regular gasoline (87 or something) unless you have the supercharged frontier (then I think you have to use premium). Premium gas is used by very few cars so it sits in the tanks at the station and gets old and might not work as well in really cold weather.

good luck hope it helps.

no the engine does not turn over... the fuel light is no longer on... apparently there is enough gas... i wondered about the battery except everything works... i'll probably try jumping it tonight when my roomate gets home just because you never know... i've never heard that about premium gas either... i've always heard its good! oh well... i'll try it out and let you know... a guy i know told me too there is a little pin thing on the clutch pedal that may have broken so the clutch isn't engaging... i'll be back
