Just a quick question.  I noticed on the rear diff fill plug that there is a flexible gray material around the plug, apparently to prevent leakage.  If I remove the plug when changing fluid, what should I use to reseal this?  Is it just a simple silicone?  Any info would be greatly appreciated as well as advice on performing the change.

I had to redo this three times before I got it right.  It wasn't the sealant I used, it was me and difficulty with the bead.  Be very certain you put the seal where it needs to go.

And, I used Permatex Ultra Grey 599BR.

Edit:  Sorry, I see you meant around the plug, I actually took the entire cap off.

Teflon tape works great around the plugs
