Hello all,

I am new here :-). I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier LE crewcab. At 55+ Mph, I can hear noise like I run over bump on the roat with constant frequency. The truck kind of shake each time the noise happen. When apply the brake, my truck jerking and shaking to complete stop. It happen often at 55 or above and rarely detect at lower speed. I have 25K on the truck and my tires check out ok no visible damage to any of the tire. I had never hit any cube or off road on the truck.

Thank you very much for your help.

Chu

..

Chu;

Wish I could test drive it myself!

It could possibly have something to do with the ABS system. But try mounting the spare tire at all four corners (one at a time ) of the truck and test it between each mounting.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem

Just because you can't see any damage to the tire, doesn't mean it isn't there.  Some of the bands could have broken internally.

But I'm leaning towards something else.  Your tires could be up for a balance and rotation anyway.  And your symptoms are pointing towards  unbalanced wheels.  Easy to happen as the weights don't always stay on, even without hitting anything.

Thank you very much. I already rotate all 4 tires but does not help. It seem the long I drive the more shaking and jerking I get. I spoke to one of the Nissan dealer, they said that the brake disc might get hot and warp. This cause the truck to jerk and shake. I will get my brake check out tomorrow and update you all with the result.

Thank you for your help.
