Hello everyone, just bought a Nissan Frontier 2006 4x4 with 34000km on it, love the truck but I just discovered something weird with the A/C.  It only will work if I have the fan speed set to 2, and only seems to blow cold air out when I am driving above 80km.  Is this normal, am I just not using the A/C correctly or is it broken in some way?

Well took it to the dealship, found out it was a blown fan motor resistor, so if anyone else has this problem thats what the cause was.

I have 01... four door... my A/C is taking longer and longer to get cold enough to chill out the inside of the car. It feels like it is just blowing outside temp air inside but eventually kicks in to blow slightly cold air inside. No where nearly as cold as my Acura blows...

Once the engine is turned off, a hissing noise is heard for a few more minutes the stops.

Any Ideas??

Sounds to me like your A/C system has a slight leak.  NOT from the hissing noise though.  That is typical as the system pressure is equalizing.  But from the fact it takes longer and longer to get cold air.
