Hey!

I have a 2002 Frontier 4x4 SC.  I have been having troubles when I fully crank the steering wheel to the left or right when pulling out of my driveway, very sharp turns, etc.  When im doing this i get a large creeking/clunking noise.  I have been to the dealership and they said it was the Wheel stops and they needed to be lubed.  Now I have lubed them but the problem is the stops just rub the lube right off...its better but not fixed.
My main question is: Do you have to replace the stops...or can you?  It looks to me like there is a metal flat head on the tire side and a concave metal piece opposite. Im not sure if maybe something has worn off or what.  I dont know a whole lot about them so if anyone has any input or help...sweet
Thanks

Hey, i had/still have the same problem with my 03 frontier. The stops have a rubber piece that fits over the metal part on the frame, when this wears off it starts making a loud squeeking noise. To fix this you must get replacement stops, they are only a few dollars.
