First off, I apologize if this has been posted before, but I can't find an answer anywhere. Next, let me introduce myself at the same time. My name is Aaron, I live in South Carolina and I currently own a 2005 Frontier SE Crew Cab. I love my truck, but have some quirky things that I just can't understand about it.
Has anyone else had trouble with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System coming on when the tire pressure is normal in all four tires? I notice that when the temperature outside drops to below freezing, the monitor comes on and it's getting very annoying. I end up having to release the tire pressure to below normal and then adding pressure to all four tires to get them back to normal before the light on my dashboard will go back off.
I have seen some topics posted about the popping in the front end mainly when just starting out in first gear, but mostly I have just seen this for 4WD models and mine is just a 2WD model. Any suggestions?
My battery has also corroded and has now corroded and has also corroded the metal strap that is installed across the top of the battery and the corrosion has eaten through the strap. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what was the cure?
I also get a rattle in the dashboard in the center when I am driving and it's annoying me to find out where it's coming from and get it fixed. Any ideas?
I should also mention that I did buy the truck new, I've had it since November 05 and I now have 21000 miles on it. I just don't think that all of this should be happening at this low of a mileage. I had an 89 Nissan Hardbody p/u before and I bought it used with 46000 miles on it and finally traded it at 150,000 miles still running strong with nothing ever needed other than preventive maintenance.
Anyone out there with any suggestions?
