1-driving conservatively, got 17MPG on first full tank. Do I have anything to complain about or is this normal.
2-horn/cruise control don't work. suspecting clockspring. anybody experience these symptoms?  airbag light comes on at startup and goes off.
3-would like to lower truck a bit. no offroading. wife and kids complaining. front is easy, crank torsion bars. what about the rear? these 'lowering blocks', do they affect payload? can't sacrifice that as it is a work truck too. and who sells them, can't find anybody that makes one for a 2000 crew cab RWD.
4-this truck does not have a passenger airbag disable switch, has anybody put one on a crew cab? I know the regular/king cabs have them.

thanks

don't know why anyone would want to lower a truck...but that's my personal opinion and that aside i dont' know about lowering, does it have the factory steprails? that helps my gf on my 01 CC, as she is just above 5 ft tall so she steps on that to get into the truck. my niece and nephew also use them. if it doesn't that might make a diff there for you. my 01 CC i average a little over 17.5 typically and i too drive super conservatively, these engines weren't the best on economy, as they are listed i believe to be 16/20 as i said tho i average better than that...if i get into the 16's i know i haven't been light on the pedal that tank. as far your other questions, i couldn't help ya, sorry.  do a forum search and there are some helpful hints on increasing mpg and welcome to the forum

I'm not going off road and prefer a  lower height to ease access to cabin and access to bed.  I drove a 2wd 98 king cab and that was much better height wise.

thanks

1- 17 MPG is not bad I get 14-15MPG but I am 4x4 and have a lot of armor on the truck.

2 Check the fuses in the cab and under the hood.

3 you might want to check out some of the Sport Truck or Low Rider Magazens(sp) I know you are spring under they may make some lowing springs.

4 No clue
