We're towing about once every 8 weeks for 3-4 days per
stretch, usually about 750-1000 miles per trip.

Ricker,
The best that I know to do is to Read and Study the
Owner's Manual as well as the Maintenance Manual. If
you do all the thing's that those Manual's say to do,
IMO You'll be doing pretty good.
One thing that I think a lot of people overlook is
changeing out the Rear Axle Differential Oil. I
changed mine Way Early and I'm very glad that I did,
cause there was quiet a bit of Fine metal on the
Magnet. My advice is stay with the Recommended
Viscosity and Type. If you are unsure about the
Recommended Viscosity, Download the Nissan Service
Manual. I purchased mine for 10 $'s from:

As I said Reading ReReading and Studying the Owners
Manual and Maintenance Manual and doing what Nissan
Recommend's is about the Best that I know to do.
When you change the Rear Axle Diff Oil,, it's a Really
good idea to take the Vent out on the Top of the Rear
Axle Houseing, Clean with Diesel Fuel and Blow it out
with YOUR Air Compressor. If you don't have an Air
compressor Go to Harbor Freight and get the 10 gallon
or 21 Gallon in the Oiled Version. I don't recommend
ever getting the Oil-Less Air compressors.
