I just bought an 05 frontier with a dealer installed 7point harness and hitch.
However, when I hook up my trailer to the converter with the standered four
plug on my trailer, nothing workes. (It works with my other two cars). Is
there a converter needed? Does it have something to do with the amber
lights?

if nissan did not install the relay harness which must be added to the passenger side wiring harness area, it WILL NOT complete its cycle to the 7 pin harness.

Where exactly is that harness supposed to be located? The Nissan dealer tells me that he doesn't see one called for on my truck, but my running lights aren't working. The brake lights work fine though. It's the 'parking/marker' lights that aren't working at all on my brand new trailer, with brand new Hidden Hitch brand harness that plugged into the factory connector on the rear passenger side frame rail.

The link has install instructions. Your relays look like they should be under the passenger side kickplate.
