1st post...picking up my 'new-to-me' 2007 CC Long bed next week.
Does Nissan (or anyone else) make a shelf/tray that utilizes the floor rails of the UT system? I don't mean the ones on the parts site, rather something the length of the bed and the width between the wheel wells that would slide out like a drawer when the gate is down.
I carry one or more bicycles pretty much everywhere I go, and am looking for an easier way to get them in and out (there will be a camper shell), standing upright.
If I have to, I'll get a 4x6 piece of plywood and fake something that fits in the UT grooves, but my handy man skillz aren't all that great :)
Thanks!

I did see in a Handyman mag that a man built a pull out shelf for his truck bed. What he did was use the same type of shelf rollers that are used for kitchen or dresser drawers, but found super long ones.
With the UT syste, you probably can find caster wheels that will be skinny enough to fit in the grooves and anchor to the plywood or OSB board.

Yep....that's what I'm thinking, but didn't want to re-invent the wheel :)

In my '00 Tacoma that had a fiberglass Leer cap level with the cab, I built a platform over the entire bed at the level of the wheel wells. I used two pieces of plywood so that one could slide over the other and remain in the truck bed, when I needed the full height of the cap for something. The platform was supported by numerous plastic buckets with covers that were exactly the right height (of the wheel well). I could store things in the buckets and used the platform for both sleeping and keeping cargo out of the inevitable rain that leaked into the bed liner. My effective little invention was one of the many reasons I was loath to give up that Tacoma.
I don't know whether this kind of arrangement is what you are asking about but it is one idea. Working out the support was the hardest part.
