Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a rough idle out of their 05-08 frontier and if so what did they find out?  The reason I ask is that I resently took it in to the dealer and was told that it was normal. Also was wondering if anyone notices that the when the compresser to the air conditioner kicks in and out it seems to pull an awful lot of power from the truck. The dealer checked to see if the volts were being drained but all checked out ok.   Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated Thanks

YES, on my 08 at times it seems more noticeable. Check all the grounds for proper torque, including engine grounds, chassis, steering member(this is the main support the dash is attached to) tighten the mounting bolts/nuts on each end and the ground wire attaching points. We usually run a 10 guage wire from the engine to the battery ground point and engine to chassis. If you do a search on e-Bay you will find a ground harness that looks like an octypus!! The main thing is to tighten the existing grounds if you do nothing else, the 2 on top of the intake plenum are usually very loose.

Thanks frontierguy!  At least will give me some type of starting point. Just like you said, at times it is more noticeable. As far as the compresser goes, I can actually feel the brake pedal drop slightly when at a stop light. (Meant to mention that before) When I get a chance I will check the grounds. Thanks again for the input

I gave you some bad info. The ECU grounds are the 2 on the top of the left side timing chain housing. I had said they are on the intake plenum- my mistake. That's where they used to be - I'm still living in the past!!!!
