Barnwell Mountain run is less than a week away... Forcast says a chance of rain for Friday and Saturday. But as anyone knows here in Texas, if you don't like the weather...just wait about fifteen minutes.

A great time was had by all who attended the Barnwell Mountain run this past weekend in Gilmer Texas USA. Want to see what you missed! >> http://www.frontlet.com/Xterra/05/barnwell4-16/index.html
I got the chance to meet up with Joe "Joehova" here on Nissan Frontier Forums and his awesome 05 Nismo Frontier, here is a picture of Joe doing a 3 diamond trail named "Whatever" at Barnwell Mountain. The trail is a constant winding, tilting (left to right) approximately 30-35 degree off-camber trail in soft terrain while all awhile being contain between high bank walls of clay, rocks and dirt with very little to no room for any mistakes or you will find yourself kissing into a wall.
Heres another view (below) of the same trail "Whatever" that better shows the trails' contantly changing of off-camb direction while snaking down or even up hill depending on which direction you choose to perform.
Another Frontier (Desert Runner) friend of ours Chris "OnlyOneDR" had stop to observe his vehicle position for a better understanding of his line of approch while on this trail named "Twister" (3-diamond) before he continued on and completed the run. The picture was taken in a Fish-Eye view to show the true diversity of the trails terrain challenge. Don't let the stock apperance of the salsa colored 01 Nissan DR truck fool you, its equiped with 3" SL, 5-pac rear leafs, rear mechanical locker, lower rock crawler transfer case gears and more...

Sheep, wish you could of came too. However, we are already planning another run to Barnwell Mountain for next month in May 05, as soon as we can confirm a hard date we will post (announce) the upcoming event date right here at Nissan Frontier Forums.
For everyone else who maybe interested in joining us, the next planned run is not just for Frontier owners only...just as this last outting was. This is also going to be open even as well and will be welcome to all who want to come and take part in the off-road overland adventures, enjoy camping, and to commingle with many other Nissan vehicle owners like you. Come by yourself, with a friend or bring the whole family we will be looking for ya!

Tha Sheep, you should go on the next trip. This place is only about an hour and a half from Shreveport. Herk was an excellent trail guide, he spotted me a few times so I didn't screw anything up on my truck.
