All are welcome to come visit or just come ready to wheel with us out on this exciting 800 acre park of granite rock formations located in the heart of Mason Texas. There are trails for all levels of experience but let it be known... 4wheelers be warned!; There is not much room for making mistakes out here, although the granite rock provides great traction and stability it is also totally unforgiving to both the undercarrage, drivetrain and/or your painted body sheetmetal parts...
We will have an on-site visit from the people at 4Wheel Drive Sport & Utility magazine during this 2006 Labor Day weekend event to be held at Katemcy Rocks. Last year we took part with sponsors in the "2005 Desination Xterra" event at Barnwell Mountain located in Gilmer TX which was also covered by the same magazine. The August (2005 Destination Xterra) event was also a feature publish in the 2005 December issue of the magazine.
It doesn't matter if you are driving a stock or modified Nissan Patrol, Pathfinder, Hardbody, Frontier or Xterra all (4WD a must) Nissans are welcome to participate in this covered event. Please visit the Katemcy Rocks park web site at: http://www.katemcyrocks.com/ for more information on the required vehicle standards and minimum safety equipment.
See you on the ROCKS!
