Hey everyone,

There's been a recent rash of fraud bank emails out trying to get your information.  Social Security, Credit Card, ATM pins... etc.  Easy to tell is if they say your account has been limited, and you need to logon to open it back up.  The supplied link will take you to a convicning site, but will actually install a Trojan virus to gather all your info.  Here's an example for everyone.  This one tipped me off because I do not bank with CHASE at all.

If you receive anything like this from our site, let one of us mods know immediately.  We definitely DON'T need any information like that.

Chase Security System
Chase Important Notification

Dear Chase account holder,

We recently reviewed your account, and suspect that your Chase Internet Banking account may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. Protecting the security of your account and of the Chase Bank network is our primary concern. Therefore, as a preventative measure, we have temporarily limited access to sensitive account features.

To restore your account access, please take the following steps to ensure that your account has not been compromised:

1. Login to your Chase Internet Banking account. In case you are not enrolled for Internet Banking, you will have to use your Social Security Number as both your Personal ID and Password.

2. Review your recent account history for any unauthorized withdrawals or deposits, and check your account profile to make sure not changes have been made. If any unauthorized activity has taken place on your account, report this to Chase staff immediately.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your assistance in helping us maintain the integrity of the entire Chase system. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

The Chase Bank Team

The crooks are always one step ahead it seems like!  Tha sad thing is most of these types of scams originate from some overseas location where the U.S. has no jurisdiction to prosecute the crook!  The average person now a days really has to be wary of anything on the net!  I bank with Chase, and am fortunate enough to work in the same building, so even if I had received an e-mail like this, I would visit a branch before ever giving any information over the internet!
