Just read on a truck blog that 09 Titans are rumored to have a diesel option with the powerplant being a 8cyl from International, which, besides being excited about the option of a diesel in the Titan and hopefully in the future for our frontys, kinda bothers me cause Nissan Diesel Motor Company makes their own diesels and even has them in the US in their UD truck (commercial series) in 4 cyl and 6 cyl variants, with one of their 6 cyl being a 230 HP/ 506 ft/lbs turbo/intercooled inline 6. I can understand why they would go with that powerplant rather than going with their own powerplant, other than expense, but how would it be cheaper to buy motors from International rather than use their own diesels, anywho, I just thought I'd pass on this bit of rumored intelligence to those who might care.
