I have a 05 SE 4x4 CC with Chrome bumper and no fog lights.  I want to install the O/E fog lights w/ the correct O/E turn signal switch that has the fog light setting on it.

Do I have to reengineer the electrics on this truck for it to work, or is the truck already sort-of prewired for fog lights?  Perhaps all I have to do is install the switch, install the lights and wiring necessary for the fog lights? Is there already a fog light accessory plug in the existant wiring harness?

By installing the switch, will the 'AUTOMATIC' headlight setting work without any additional modifications?

Thank you

As far as I have been able to tell, the factory wiring is all there and all you have to do is install the lights and light/turn signal switch. I do know for a fact that the connectors for the lights are behind the bumper, as I have looked on my 2005 Frontier SE truck.

I want to do the same and the OEM kits are on Ebay for the mid $200 range. I just finished my stereo and installed nerf bars, so lights are my next project.

By the way, I also have the chrome bumpers and the lights are different for the chrome bumpers, in case you didn't already know. I am unsure of the automatic feature, if I get mine done first, I will let you know.

Excellent news.  Thank you.  Big help. I bought the automatic light sensor and clutch signal cancel switches too.  The sensor looks like an easy install.  The clutch cancel, a little more detailed, since an additional 2 relays are necessary, which are on order.

I like the idea of having some LE options on an SE.  Courtesy Nissan has been a great help with these parts. The turn signal switch, however, I got from Auto Zone...$20 cheaper for the same OE part, plus had it in 2 days.

If you got it from AZ it ain't OE!!!! If it's not from
Nissan, it is only "like" OE, big difference.

I ordered the OEM foglights from my dealer 1/27/12, using the Nissan Rewards program (ordered other stuff too) which saved a bunch. What is strange is that the foglights, prepaid including labor, haven't yet showed up. Duh. I really am looking forward to having these, especially as we get into the foggy spring evenings.

Tell me more about the automatic light sensor. I ASSume this is for turning the headlights on automatically when needed?

Also, what exactly does the clutch cancel switch do? I am curious.

The only switches that come to mind are the ones that keeps the engine from over-revving if you press the clutch while the cruise is on, and the one that makes you depress the clutch when starting the engine. Both are obvious standard equipment safety items.
