mainly it depends upon what you plan on using to play
your tunes. If you have an Ipod, seems like everyone
does now, I'd personally go for a simple audio jack and
try going for a pocket on the dash to install the plugin.
It's easier then always digging around in your center
console and way easier to take with you.

However I love the simplicity of having a tiny MP3
player. I hook it up to my Pioneer with a USB cable,
keeps it charged and ready for when I go running, and I
can browse through my library using the h/u. It was
another $50 for the Ipod attachment, and that used both
my audio jack and usb slot and just to do the same
thing it does with my mp3 player. (however i will
concede that I love the fact it would work with the I-
phone gps navigation) just too bad that i'd never buy a
Iphone.

kcidmil - thanks for the detailed explanation.

jgreenjr - thanks for sharing your pictures.  That process looks pretty cool.

I have noticed lots of vehicles with newer radio systems that have the usb input jack on them.

I think I'm buy a radio that plays mp3 cds and has the usb input jack. I'm upgrade the speakers so I get a much better sound.  Maybe put the newer, bigger speakers under the back seats.  They don't get much useage...

Thanks guys!

I finally got a sony stereo installed.

Total cost was $250.00 everything included.

The stereo I got was $160.00 online.  Blue tooth so now I can connect my phone, and has the Auxillary In, so i can connect any audio device.

I mainly use my phone with pandora.

Thanks guys!

Hey there,
I purchased a radio (SONY MexBT2900), that plays mp3 disc, has blue tooth for my phone, has the audio input jack, and face off for security.

I purchased a audio jack cable and leave it connected. Now anyone with a mp3 player or phone can connect to it.  I also make huge mp3 disc with roughly 100 songs, or comedy, audio books or anything I want to listen to and use them.  The blue tooth works great, but since it is such a small cabin the speaker phone I have works fine to.

I had it professionally installed and it works great.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Luke
